The Directors is an exploration of the films, television programs, ideas, and motivation of some of the great creative minds in the industry today. So often, television interviews are no more than promotional vehicles for a director’s most recent work. Finally, an opportunity for directors to speak in detail about their projects in a one-hour documentary-style format. The Directors provides audiences with a unique perspective into the rich history, artistry and craftsmanship of the movies.

A fresh departure from “infotainment”, The Directors provides audiences with thought-provoking insight into the world of film and television-making with all its struggles, successes, and pitfalls. With in-depth interviews, behind the scenes footage and film-clips, the audience discovers the magic that drives directors in their lyrical pursuits.

The Directors explores those areas of film and television not touched by the mainstream media. How does a production get made? What stories and inspirations lie behind a script? What motivates particular casting decisions? How has the director grown in his craft?
